The Annual Arab Banking Conference 2013 -‘Economic Implications of Arab Transitions: Reforms & Role of Banks’ - 14 - 15 November, 2013

Under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Lebanon General Michel Sleiman The Union of Arab Banks  organized its Annual Arab Banking Conference 2013 entitled “Economic Implications of Arab Transitions: Reforms and Role of Banks” in Beirut - Lebanon on the 14th & 15th of November 2013.
In his opening speech Dr. Joseph Torbey considered that the economic cost of wars and conflicts is very high, and puts us all in front of a challenge of existence calling for the necessity to exert all sorts of pressure to put an end to the conflict and engage in the process of political, economic, social and human reconstructions. He added that in this conjuncture that threatens to destabilize our countries, even at different degrees, the issue is what each country alone can do and what we can do united to face the devastating implications, saying that the horizons for economic cooperation are vast and even crucial in the post conflict period.
