The General Assembly of the Association of Banks in Lebanon meets on June 30, 2009 and elects a new Board of Directors to a two-year term. The Board members are: Dr. Francois Bassil, Chairman & General Manager of Byblos Bank sal, Mr. Saad Azhari, Chairman & General Manager of BLOM Bank sal, Dr. George Achi, Chairman of Bank Audi sal; Dr. Joseph Torbey, Chairman & General Manager of Crédit Libanais; Dr. Tanal Sabbah, Chairman & General Manager of the Lebanese-Swiss Bank; Mr. Nadim Kassar (Fransabank), H.E. Farid Raphael (Banque Libano-Française), Mr. Mohammad Hariri (BankMed), Mr. Antoine Sehnaoui (SGBL), Mr. Ghassan Assaf (Bank of Beirut & the Arab Countries), M. Selim Sfeir (Bank of Beirut); and Mr. Abdel-Razzak Achour (Bank of Kuwait & the Arab Countries). The new Board elects then Dr. Joseph Torbey as President, Mr. Saad Azhari as Vice President, Dr. george Achi as Secretary General and Dr. Tanal Sabbah as Treasurer.
